In 1969, back when getting a tattoo was still considered odd, four guys (probably) from Louisiana decided to form a band, put eyeball masks over their heads and never take them off. Ever. Rumors persisted in the 1970s that the band was really the Beatles in disguise, but four decades and 60 albums later, the real identities of the Residents remain as mysterious as their avant-garde art rock
